Long Description:

This week, the Academy transforms into a pop-up art museum, featuring guest curators who will each take over a portion of the space with hand-picked collections that reflect their take on the intersection of art and science.  See the selections of local fixtures like Warholian, Hugh Leeman, Ever Gold Gallery, and Spoke Art, as well as picks from the Academy’s own talented artists and designers. Then pick up a pen or pencil to participate in the science-inspired “All Draw” drawing event, organized by Adam Rozan. Artist Tiffany Bozic, whose work reflects her own closeness to the natural world, will present an interactive talk about her body of work, new book, and experience as the Academy’s first Artist in Residence. Scientific illustrators who work in the Academy collections will share their work too, and in the coral reef, grad students from California College of the Arts will present a series of projects exploring sound and image resonance.  Vinyl selections by Andy Cabic of Vetiver & Britt Govea of (((folkYEAH!))).
