Long Description: 

Children ages 3-5 are invited to join in during group activities and hands-on learning in the Naturalist Center. Little Naturalists includes four, rotating programs:

  • Wild & Crafty: Get creative and learn about animals during this program that pairs children’s literature with a take-home craft. (1st, 3rd and 5th Mondays)
  • Sprouts: Explore the plants and animals of nature’s gardens through hands-on investigation and activities. (2nd and 4th Mondays)
  • Little Learners' Lab: Become a scientist-in-training and join us for a fun hands-on experiment. (1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesdays)
  • Children of the World: A special program highlighting children from around the world through folktales, art, music, and movement. (2nd and 4th Wednesdays)

 

These programs are free with Academy admission. Supervision is required. Space is limited to the first 20 participants. Sign up as early as 9:30am on the morning of the program to hold your spot.

Summary: 
Children ages 3-5 are invited to join our Early Childhood staff for group activities and hands-on learning during one of these four, rotating programs in the Naturalist Center: Wild & Crafty, Sprouts, Little Learners' Lab, and Children of the World.

Administrative Notes: 
Little Naturalists programs are offered by the Early Childhood staff every Monday and Wednesday morning at 10:00am in the Naturalist Center. This program is free to children ages 3-5 with an accompanying adult. Space is limited to the first 20 children.
