Meet members of the NASA Ames Research Center Astrobiology Team and learn more about the Curiosity Mission!
The Mars Science Laboratory "Curiosity" Mission is presently exploring the surface of Mars to find environments that might have been capable of supporting life in the red planet's distant past, using the only evidence that is still available - the record of ancient conditions that is contained in rocks. Mission scientists are deciphering that record using the array of powerful instruments aboard Curiosity, including one - "CheMin" - that was developed at the Bay Area's own NASA Ames Research Center. NASA scientists will be present from 12 to 2 PM.
Presented in partnership with NASA Ames Research Center.
