The Krause Center for Innovation (KCI) is thrilled to invite educators to two virtual, grant-funded events celebrating CS in EDU!

Part 1: CS in EDU Kick-Off Workshop
On December 4th, 2021, join a half-day, virtual workshop centering around K-12 Computer Science education. Whether you are looking for a quick lesson to give during CS Ed Week or a whole new topic to explore, come see what’s next in CS. Join Judianne Ganschow, Bakari Holmes, Jessica Hexsel, Roxanne Lanzot, and Piper to learn more about Hour of Code resources and be inspired with emerging topics such as artificial intelligence, robotics, cybersecurity, gaming, and Hour of Code.

This half-day, virtual workshop provides educators of all levels and computer science knowledge a fun and easy way to get inspired, glimpse the future, and come away with ideas and materials to use in your classes. You will also be automatically enrolled in a raffle to receive a FREE Piper Robotics Expedition Kit!

Part 2: CS in EDU: Cybersecurity Deep Dive
In partnership with the US Department of Naval Research, KCI wants to help educators prepare for and celebrate #CSEdWeek, December 6-12, 2021, with tons of resources and learning. Join Foothill College Professor, Mike Murphy, and KCI Instructor, Gregory Brown, in learning what Cyber is and how it can be applied to the classroom!

They can’t wait to share what’s next in computer science and to connect you with CS advocates everywhere.
