On Saturday, October 19, you'll find the Academy team in room 212A all day!

  • Unlearning: Daylighting Misconceptions | 12:00pm-1:30pm
We all aim to teach for conceptual understanding, but how do we get there when misconceptions have already taken root? Join us in exploring the process of unlearning and find some ways to support students to do the same.
  • Adapting Your Adoption: Making Packaged Curriculum Relevant to Your Students | 3:00pm-4:30pm
Adopted curriculum packages are written to fit all students, but not necessarily written to fit your students. In this workshop, you'll learn how to apply some tools and strategies for successfully adapting packaged curricula for your teaching and learning context.
