Join us for San Francisco’s biggest party of the year on April 23, 2015! Party After Dark spills across the Academy’s multiple indoor and outdoor venues and will feature live DJ sets, photo booths, complimentary bites and open bars, gourmet food trucks, and much more!

Toro y Moi (DJ set)
Chaz Bundick, best known by his stage name Toro y Moi, is Indie-rock royalty and an originator in the chillwave movement. Hailing from South Carolina, but recently settling in the East Bay, Toro y Moi has incorporated electronics and allows a wider range of influences—French house, Brian Wilson’s pop, 80s R&B, and Stones Throw hip-hop—to show up in his music. His latest album "What For?" will be released on April 7.
Silent Disco in African Hall

Art Installations & Light Projections
Watch as the Academy lights up the night! See it all aglow with...
- light shows in the Coral Reef, with illuminating visuals by Howie Wong at ALL OF IT NOW!;
- the interactive art installation, “Between Dimensions,” in the East Garden that will use a camera to project beautiful fractal images against the museum exterior;
- and a light-covered, computerized VW Beetle known as LIGHTMOBILE.
Food Trucks
Enjoy fresh steamed buns at The Chairman Truck, SF's famous food truck inspired by the original street food of Asia—it's bold, spicy, unique, fast and delicious. Top it off with a savory treat from El Sur, handmade Argentine-style empanadas served to you directly from the oven of their mobile kitchen.
