The Academy is open daily—and NightLife is back! View our reopening page for ticketing information, health and safety details, exhibit updates, and FAQs. We hope to see you soon!

As you plan your visit, please note the following health and safety updates:

  • All guests, including members, must reserve timed-entry tickets online in advance.
  • Entry into the planetarium, rainforest and Shake House is first-come, first-served and by reservation only: When you arrive, scan the QR code in the lobby to select an entry time or showtime. (Nothing available? Try again later as new reservations are released throughout the day.)
  • Curiosity Grove, Naturalist Center, and Discovery Tidepool will remain temporarily closed, and the interactive elements in some exhibits have been disabled or modified.
  • To reduce crowding, public programs are no longer scheduled at specific times. Instead, look forward to "pop-up" programs on every floor and in our outdoor spaces.
