Antarctic Item 045

In this and the next two blog entries, I return to posting objects that I acquired in Antarctica for my project. This set of items fall in the “fabrics” category which makes up a good part of my collection.

These two 3/4-inch wide straps — coiled to appear as a single piece — was kindly contributed to the Long View Project by Sharona Thompson, an artist and Vehicle Operations Supervisor for the U.S. Antarctic Program at McMurdo Station. Thanks Sharona!
